The global environment is in a highly dynamic state.  Every day, human and natural forces combine to reshape parts of the world and change the environment. A changing environment will affect people in different parts of the world in unique ways. A variety of environmental problems now affect our entire world.  As globalization continues and the earth's natural processes
transform local problems into international issues, few societies are being left untouched by major environmental problems.
Concern for the environment was viewed by many as a rich-country luxury. It is practically not. Natural and man-made environmental resources - fresh water, clean air, forests, grasslands, marine resources, and agro-ecosystems - provide sustenance and a foundation for social and economic development. Every environmental problem has causes, numerous effects, and most importantly, a solution.Some Important Environmental Issues
Some of the largest problems now affecting the world are Climate Change (Global warming, Fossil fuels,  Sea level rise, Greenhouse gas), Energy (Energy conservation, Renewable energy,  Efficient energy use,  Renewable energy commercialization), Air pollution (Indoor air quality,  Ozone Depletion (CFC)), Water pollution (Acid rain, Oil spills, Wastewater)  and Waste (E-waste,  Litter, Landfill,  Recycling,  Incineration).

Green House Gases
Global warming is called the greenhouse effect because the gases that are gathering above the earth make the planet comparable to a greenhouse.  By trapping heat near the surface of the earth, the greenhouse effect is warming the planet and threatening the environment. Current fears stem largely from the fact that global warming is occurring at such a rapid pace. Thus climate change tops the list of problems caused by pollution, largely as a result of energy use, transport and industrial processes.
Human activity since the Industrial Revolution has increased the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, leading to increased radiative forcing from CO2, methane,  tropospheric ozone, CFCs and nitrous oxide. The concentrations of CO2 and methane have increased by 36% and 148% respectively since the mid-1700s. CO2 concentrations are continuing to rise due to burning of fossil fuels and land-use change. The future rate of rise will depend on uncertain economic, sociological, technological, and natural developments.

Pollution from industry, households, vehicles and farms causes health problems for people and for animals. It can affect both the air and the quality of water in rivers, lakes and seas. As the world has industrialized and its population has grown, the problem of soil, water and  air pollution has intensified.

Energy Efficiency and Carbon Management    
The global environmental consequences of CO2 emissions resulting from energy use are causing mounting concern regarding the sustainability of development.
Increasing constraints of energy and the environment, especially the global environmental consequences of energy use, are causing mounting concern, and it is widely warned that these consequences could limit the ability to sustain future development.
